EPA's 2007 Report on the Environment: Science Report (SAB Review Draft)

EPA is announcing a 45-day public comment period for the draft document titled, EPA's 2007 Report on the Environment: Science Report (ROE SR) (EPA/600/R-07/045). This public comment period is to precede the formal public, scientific peer review of the document by EPA's Science Advisory Board (SAB) on July 10-12, 2007. The public comment period begins May 10, 2007 and ends June 25, 2007.

Children's Health Month 2006: Promoting Healthy School Environments

Learn the ABCs of school environmental health. Children's Health Month is every October, and this year's theme is: Promoting Healthy School Environments. In celebration of Children's Health Month, EPA is offering webcasts throughout October to raise awareness about protecting children from environmental risks, such as indoor air pollution, while they are in school. Beginning Oct. 5, the webcasts will be available for parents, educators, facility managers, school administrators, architects, design engineers, school nurses, teachers, staff and healthcare practitioners.

1938 Historic Aerial Imagery Now Available

Through funding provided by Hillsborough County, the Florida Center for Community Design and Research georeferenced historic aerial imagery from 1938. Through this process static images were referenced to current day features within GIS (Geographic Information Systems). The result of this process is a county-wide mosaic image that can now be viewed within the Hillsborough County Watershed Atlas mapping application.
